Semana Santa-Holy Week
Semana Santa or Holy Week….a very big holiday for Central America! The streets of Trujillo were bustling with vendors and traditional Honduran cuisine stands. My favorite part was the ¨The Laying of the Carpet¨. Men and women stay up all night on Good Friday to have these colorful displays in front of the church for morning mass! And these fantastic works of art are made of colored saw dust!!!
